What is Riverstone?

Riverstone is an advanced assisted living home for those who are in need of light care, such as those who are over the age of 65, or suffering from a disability and need to be looked after. Riverstone understands that residents are more than people to be managed, and examples that through the many services and social environments it offers to its residents.

Residential Life

During mealtimes residents may order from a diverse and dynamic menu and eat the indoor, or outdoor plaza with other residents, served by world renowned chefs. Riverstone reaches out to the diverse musical and theatrical community of East Tennessee and hires the best to perform at the Riverstone Theatre, which is fully accessible for all ambulatory types. Riverstone offers an outdoor heated pool, in which a trained aqua therapist is always present for lifeguard duties and recommendations for exercise.

Gardens and Environment

To keep fresh air and a sense of connection to Earth, a momentous facet to Riverstone’s design is its biophilic environment. Riverstone offers a large garden for residents to relax and socialize in, the building itself could be considered a garden due to the frequency of plant life around the campus

Rooms

Rooms are available in many different formats. Pictured is a twin suite with a balcony. this would be a higher end option. Lower tier options include twin rooms with windows that look into atrium, and the highest tier is a balcony room that has a full sized bed. All rooms are roughly the same sqft, so its up to which design fits you best! all rooms are equipped with emergency response buttons, and are accessible by wheelchair, and ADA compliant. Riverstone has over 50 rooms, meaning hallways will never be crowded, and attention can be better focused towards you. This also makes the facility feel like a neighborhood, and you will know all your neighbors!

Design Elements

Riverstone was design with the environment in mind. Commonly seen in the environment are vertical lines. Vertical wood beams represent the "trees of life" and many windows are added to let natural light in. Riverstone's design also allows for future expansion

Fitness and Nursing

Included in your residence at Riverstone is a fitness room, complete with yoga classes and machines required to keep fit. These are also used for physical therapy. To aid these benifits, outside orginizations run classes and training sessions in the fitness center and multipurpose rooms. Nurses occupy "drive-thru" nurse stations (not rendered). Riverstone is employed at a 4:1 resident to nurse ratio.
